I have been searching for a resource that would teach me more about SEO for months now, luckily, I came across the SEO black book. This book has taught me things that would have been almost impossible to learn on my own. It’s a very easy read and a book that I highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn about SEO or to someone who wants to learn more about SEO.

I’m involved in several online writing sites that produce content, and lately I’ve decided to get serious about it and learn some SEO in order to drive more visitors to my articles. While I had basic knowledge of what SEO was and vaguely how it worked, I didn’t know much about it beyond adding keywords and developing links. “SEO Black Book” was a great guide for me to learn not only the specifics of what SEO is, but how to implement it in the way that can most increase my article’s search engine rankings.

“SEO Black Book” is a conversational, straightforward guide that gives information, not tricks. It begins by explaining the evolution of the internet, and how Google’s Panda and then Penguin algorithms changed the landscape of search and page rankings. It also addresses how now content is king–the algorithms make it much harder for low-quality sites to get traffic.
Then, it goes specifically into SEO practices–covering aged domains (something I knew nothing about), how to research and choose keywords, how to use analytics, backlinks, link wheels, and link pyramids (two more things I didn’t know existed). The author also lists specific sites like Fiverr and Tribepro and explains just why they are so helpful to developing a presence on the internet.

I would recommend this book to those wanting to get started with SEO and improving their search engine rankings, as long as they are willing to put in the work and effort–this isn’t a “quick fix” book since quick fixes don’t work after the new algorithms; it’s more a slow-and-steady wins the race advice guide. I liked how thorough it was in its guidance without becoming too technical, and it made me feel confident that if I apply the principles within “SEO Black Book,” I will see improvements in my article rankings.
